Best Horror Books of 2026 (So Far)

The best horror books of 2026 so far: the new releases making noise this year. Eric LaRocca's Wretch, Amy Jane Stewart's Hex House, Taylor Adams's Her Last Breath, T. Kingfisher's Wolf Worm, Marcus Kliewer's The Caretaker and Luke Dumas's Nothing Tastes As Good are the early favourites.

The list is short because the year is not over. If you like to read the new thing before everybody else is talking about it, bookmark this page and come back. For last year's favourites, see the best horror books of 2025.
